Prosecutors say the man accused in the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner shooting traveled from California via Chicago to Washington, checked into the gala hotel, and acted alone. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said he had stockpiled weapons at home and showed troubling behavior. In writings shared with family minutes before the attack, he referred to himself as a “Friendly Federal Assassin.”
