Uday Samant says Paranjpe was inducted into Shiv Sena to block MVA entry

NCP was called in later, not first

Maharashtra minister Uday Samant said former NCP leader Anand Paranjpe was inducted into Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena specifically to prevent him from joining any Opposition group, including the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Samant added that Sunetra Pawar’s NCP was kept informed to avoid misunderstandings within the ruling Mahayuti. He said attempts to reach Pawar directly failed due to her being at an event, so NCP MP Parth Pawar and then Jay Pawar were contacted. Paranjpe resigned from NCP and joined Shiv Sena after leaving the party.
