Odisha man exhumes sister’s skeleton to prove death and withdraw bank money

A tribal man in Odisha’s Keonjhar district allegedly exhumed his deceased sister’s skeleton after a bank reportedly refused to process her death claim without the account holder present. Jeetu Munda said officials repeatedly asked him to bring her back despite being told she had died. Police intervened, noting he lacked knowledge of nominee or heir procedures and said they would help him access the funds.
