Delhi Police have arrested YouTuber and TV panelist Salim Wastik over a 1995 case involving the kidnapping and murder of a businessman’s son. Authorities say he evaded arrest for more than two decades while maintaining a public-facing identity online. The case has raised fresh questions about how a high-profile figure could remain out of reach for so long.
Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested Salim Ahmed, alias Salim Vastavik, a YouTuber and martial arts instructor who had evaded authorities for 31 years in a 1995 kidnapping and murder case. The 13-year-old victim was killed after the abduction, and Vastavik’s arrest ends years of disappearance and brings the long pending life sentence closer to execution.
