A Florida doctor is facing manslaughter charges after prosecutors allege he removed a patient’s liver instead of his spleen during surgery. The doctor reportedly told authorities he was “so upset” and “couldn’t tell the difference” between the organs. The patient, William Bryan, later died, and his wife has sued, alleging medical malpractice.
