Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Varanasi that his government has consistently placed the highest priority on women’s welfare. Calling “nari shakti” the strongest pillar of Viksit Bharat, he framed women’s empowerment as central to the country’s development goals and underscored the administration’s focus on safeguarding and advancing women’s interests.
Varanasi is in the middle of a major push for development, with Yogi Adityanath saying projects worth over Rs 35,000 crore have been completed and work worth Rs 20,000 crore is underway. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects totaling more than Rs 6,330 crore, also flagging off trains and highlighting women’s empowerment.
