Fabless semiconductor startup BigEndian Semiconductors raised $6 million in a pre-Series A round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from Vertex Ventures and others. The fresh capital will go toward commercialising its first system-on-chip for surveillance equipment, scaling engineering and strengthening foundry partnerships. The sample chipset is expected by month-end, followed by regulatory approvals for testing ahead of market availability later this fiscal year.
