Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has kicked off the SSLC 2026 revaluation, photocopy, and scrutiny application window a day after Class 10 results were declared. Students who are unhappy with marks or want higher scores can apply online for rechecking, photocopies of answer scripts, or scrutiny, but the board says these services do not apply to the IT paper. The board also streamlined applications by requiring headmaster verification and only processing those submitted with the prescribed fees.
CBSE has responded to social media backlash over Class 12 Result 2026, where students reported unusually low marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, including claims by some JEE Main qualifiers that they failed board exams. The board defended its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, calling it fair, transparent and consistent due to stepwise evaluation. CBSE says revaluation and corrective checks will start from May 19, following a seven-year low pass percentage of 85.2%.
