Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has reconstituted four parliamentary committees for the 2026-27 financial year, extending them till 2027. Faggan Singh Kulaste was reappointed chair of the Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, while KC Venugopal was put back as chair of the Public Accounts Committee. The panels will drive departmental scrutiny and policy recommendations.
