The Supreme Court refused bail to a Delhi University student accused of inciting violence during a Noida industrial workers’ protest. The bench asked the student’s counsel to approach the Allahabad High Court, citing the mounting burden in the apex court, where around 93,000 cases are pending. It also issued notice to Uttar Pradesh police over an alleged torture claim.
