A Flood Watch from the National Weather Service is in effect for much of the Brazos Valley and nearby Texas areas from Thursday night through early Saturday. Forecasters expect 2 to 4 inches of rain, with some spots possibly higher, raising the risk of flash flooding. The alert currently covers 15 counties and may expand as conditions change.
