JioStar, Reliance and Disney’s Indian media venture, has moved to legal mediation against Zee Entertainment, alleging Zee broadcast Bollywood films JioStar says it holds rights to. The dispute follows earlier legal action: Zee sued JioStar in April over copyrighted music use. JioStar’s filing claims Zee repeatedly aired 12 films around 20 times, including major stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Zee says any broadcasts were inadvertent, with no damages liability.
