Canada has increased the validity of WP-EXT work authorization support letters for foreign workers on maintained status from 180 to 365 days. That means applicants can continue working while their new work permit applications are processed. The boost does not apply to Post-Graduation Work Permit holders, whose letters stay at 180 days, and new guidance clarifies how maintained status works with multiple applications.
