Prada is launching a limited-edition line of Indian-made sandals inspired by traditional Kolhapuri chappals, aiming to repair earlier criticism over failing to credit their origins. After the backlash in 2025, the brand partnered with artisan groups in Maharashtra and Karnataka to make 2,000 pairs, blending local craft with Italian technology and selling at about 750 euros.
