India’s first dedicated commercial seaplane operator, SkyHop Aviation, has received its Air Operator Certificate from the DGCA after successful test flights. The airline now plans to begin operations using a 19-seater aircraft, aiming to connect Lakshadweep islands with the mainland and boost regional travel options where regular air access is limited.
