Delhi has activated its Heat Wave Action Plan 2026 as temperatures soar. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta instructed all departments to prevent outdoor workers from intense sunlight between 1 PM and 4 PM during severe heatwave conditions. Officials are told to revise work schedules, ensure shade and drinking water, and provide caps to reduce heat-related illnesses among vulnerable groups.
