Police say a suspected IED blast late Monday night damaged a stretch of the Dedicated Freight Corridor in Punjab’s Patiala district, temporarily halting freight traffic. The man killed has been identified as Jagroop Singh. Investigators believe an undetonated device led to his death, and an undamaged phone played a key role in confirming his identity.
