The Hosteller founder and CEO Pranav Dangi says backpacker hostels are poised to become the default stay for Indians aged 18 to 40 within five years. After raising Rs 150 crore to expand, the company is standardising everything from cleanliness and SOPs to 100% CCTV and plans like an SOS button at bunk level—aiming for “no-stress” stays across 75 properties.
