Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 594 km Ganga Expressway, Uttar Pradesh’s longest highway, linking Meerut to Prayagraj. The expressway is designed to cut travel time from about 12 hours to just 6–7 hours, while improving connectivity across western and eastern UP. It also features smart tolling, modern passenger facilities, and an emergency airstrip.
