Italy’s competition watchdog has shut antitrust probes into three AI firms after they pledged to reduce “hallucination” risks. DeepSeek, Mistral AI, and Turkey’s Scaleup Yazilim Hizmetleri will improve user warnings about inaccurate outputs, add clearer service disclaimers, and invest in safeguards— including DeepSeek putting money into new technology to limit such errors.
