A major fire swept through the Shahberi furniture market in Greater Noida late Friday, forcing the deployment of ten fire tenders to control the blaze. Officials said the fire broke out at around 10:20 pm at a furniture shop in the Shahberi area and quickly spread to nearby stores, with about eight shops damaged and several gutted. There were no reported injuries or fatalities. The cause is still under investigation after flames were extinguished.
