The Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) tracks enterprises in manufacturing, trade, and services (excluding construction) and collects data on operations and economic characteristics to support policymaking.
The Economic Survey 2023 argues that India’s medium-term growth hinges on demographics that must be matched with better inclusion. It urges the Centre and states to pursue reforms in governance at the grassroots level, aligning services and opportunities so that demographic dividends translate into sustained development rather than uneven outcomes.
