JCD Prabhakar has been unanimously elected as Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Assembly, with no one filing opposition. In line with tradition, leaders escorted him to the Speaker’s chair. He then presided over the election of Deputy Speaker M Ravisankar, who also won unopposed. With both roles settled, Assembly proceedings will now be run by Prabhakar.
