The Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi Development Authority to halt all activities on the Yamuna flood plains at Sur Ghat, including parking and commercial use. Citing the area’s ecological sensitivity and its Zone-O classification, the court restricted religious and commercial activities and asked for alternative parking arrangements outside the flood plains for devotees.
The Delhi Development Authority has extended the payment deadline for its premium Towering Heights flats in Karkardooma to June 30, 2026. The DDA cited delays in statutory approvals and physical possession. It also announced no interest for dues falling by March 31, 2026, extending interest-free payments through April 30 and up to June 30, offering relief to allottees.
