Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced a 15% increase in daily wages for workers, the first revision since 2013. The hike was announced on Labour Day during a special Assembly session aimed at easing living costs for daily wage earners. The same session also turned into a sparring ground between the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress.
