A former Toledo surgeon, Hassan-James Abbas, pleaded no contest to charges including unlawful distribution of abortion drugs and identity fraud. Prosecutors allege he used his ex-wife’s identity to obtain the pills and administered them to his pregnant girlfriend while she slept after she refused to end the pregnancy. He could face up to five years in prison.
