Gian Singh Mann, cousin of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was welcomed by Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini and Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar, a move coming with early next year’s Punjab assembly elections in sight. Mann, from Sangrur district, is expected to strengthen the BJP’s outreach as campaigning heats up.
