CBSE has responded to social media backlash over Class 12 Result 2026, where students reported unusually low marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, including claims by some JEE Main qualifiers that they failed board exams. The board defended its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, calling it fair, transparent and consistent due to stepwise evaluation. CBSE says revaluation and corrective checks will start from May 19, following a seven-year low pass percentage of 85.2%.
Punjab’s PSEB Class 12 exams show a striking turnaround for government schools, with 416 institutions posting a 100% pass result. The overall pass rate reached 91.46% from about 2.65 lakh candidates, while girls again outperformed boys with a 94.73% pass rate versus 88.52%. In the merit list, 122 of 275 students come from government schools, and 217 of 278 merit scorers are girls. Three toppers scored 500/500, honoured by CM Bhagwant Mann and backed by the state’s “Sikhya Kranti” push.

CBSE has scheduled Class 12 supplementary exams for July 15, 2026, giving compartment and improvement candidates another shot. Students will be able to submit their List of Candidates starting June 2. The supplementary exam will follow the same syllabus as the main exams, and results are expected sometime in July, after this year’s main-exam pass percentage declined.

Assam Higher Secondary Class 12 results for 2026 have been announced for exams held from February 11 to March 16, 2026. Students can check their marks online using roll number or full name, receive a provisional scorecard, and later collect the original marksheet from their schools. The result is also accessible on DigiLocker.

Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has released the Class 10 and Class 12 exam schedule for 2026. Class 12 exams will begin on February 25, 2026, followed by Class 10 on February 26, 2026. The exams will be held offline, and the timetable applies to both regular and private candidates, with official date sheets available on the BSEH website.
CBSE has deferred Class 12 board exams scheduled in the Middle East from March 12 to 16, citing the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. The board said new dates will be announced later and will review the situation on March 14 for further exams. This is not the first postponement in the region, as earlier exams were also delayed.
