New Delhi has asked West Bengal to fast track central schemes for tribal welfare, citing state non-implementation. The Centre says programs including PM-JANMAN and DAJGUA, launched in 2023 and 2024, have received no proposals from Bengal, even for housing, road connectivity and solar electrification. The state has also not signed an MoU for Eklavya Model Residential Schools.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the NDA government inherited Rs 10 lakh crore in debts from the previous YSRCP regime. He further claimed Rs 10,000 crore from 94 central schemes was diverted. Naidu said his administration is focused on improving living standards and accelerating development across the state.
