Nepal has strongly rejected media claims that Indians face new restrictions, hassles, or fixed stay limits when entering the country. Nepal’s Tourism Board said the longstanding open-border arrangements and bilateral people-to-people ties remain unchanged, and there is no time limit on stays for Indian nationals. Reports citing a 30-day limit were also denied, with officials noting that vehicle entry permits can be issued for 30 days and renewed with fees. Nepal says it is instead improving land-route travel through a new online facilitation system.
