Bell Canada, a unit of BCE, dismissed several employees for violating its code of conduct after they were caught faking office attendance through a swipe-and-go system. In the scheme, staff scanned their access cards and left immediately, while one employee reportedly used the office gym before departing. BCE says the firings are disciplinary actions, not part of broader job cuts.
