A Nashik court on Friday rejected bail pleas of five people arrested in a TCS sexual harassment and forced conversion case. The accused—Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Asif Ansari and Ashwini Chainani—had arguments heard between May 11 and 13, after which the court reserved and later declined bail. The defence said arrests were illegal, while the prosecution cited Supreme Court custody guidelines. The SIT is probing nine molestation and harassment cases at TCS’s Nashik unit.
