Maruti Suzuki India has kicked off FY27 with a record April performance, selling 2,39,646 units and growing 33.29% year-on-year. The small car segment played a major role, while domestic sales hit an all-time high, signaling strong demand at the start of the new fiscal year.
VE Commercial Vehicles, the Volvo Group–Eicher Motors joint venture, posted a 6.9% rise in April 2026 sales to 7,318 units. Growth was led by an 8.6% increase in domestic sales of Eicher-branded trucks and buses. Exports fell, but the overall picture points to improving demand and steadier momentum for the company.
