The Bar Council of India has written to the Chief Justice of India demanding immediate administrative action after an Andhra Pradesh High Court judge allegedly sent a young advocate to 24-hour judicial custody during a hearing. The reported reason was a procedural lapse. BCI says the matter warrants intervention to address concerns about due process and judicial conduct.
