TMC alleges panchayat member death in Hooghly as BJP denies role amid shop arson

Police are probing both a death claim and arson

In Purba Medinipur’s Khejuri, police are also investigating reports that more than sixty shops were set ablaze by BJP-backed individuals. Authorities are examining both cases.
