Thermos recalls 8 million jars and bottles after defective stoppers trigger permanent vision loss

Stoppers eject violently, injuring users permanently

Thermos is recalling more than 8 million Stainless King food jars and Sportsman food and beverage bottles after reports that defective stoppers can forcefully eject. The problem has led to serious injuries, including permanent vision loss for at least three people. The affected products were made before July 2023. Consumers should stop using them and contact Thermos for replacements.
