Cole Tomas Allen allegedly tried to attack Trump administration officials at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, after leaving behind writings in which he referred to himself as a “Friendly Federal Assassin.” Investigators say the attempt appears politically motivated, pointing to anti-Trump posts and complaints tied to administration policies. Allen, a highly educated man from California, was arrested after trying to breach a security checkpoint.
