Supreme Court dismisses TMC plea on West Bengal counting supervisors EC promises rule compliance

EC says counting will follow its own appointment rules

The Supreme Court has closed a case filed by the Trinamool Congress over the appointment of supervisors for West Bengal election vote counting. The Election Commission told the court it will adhere to its own rules while counting proceeds with a state government nominee present. TMC had objected to the plan to use only central government employees as supervisors.
