Sourav Ganguly reveals what Sachin and Laxman said about match fixing when he took captaincy

He asked Sachin and Laxman if anyone approached them

Sourav Ganguly revisited India’s early-2000s match-fixing turbulence on the Raj Shamani podcast, recalling that when he became captain at 27, he was largely unsure about how widespread the problem really was. He says he repeatedly asked Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid whether anyone had approached them about fixing or betting, and that their answers were “no”. He also checked with Anil Kumble, again getting no indication. Ganguly later led India to the 2003 ODI World Cup final.
