Twisha Sharma, a 31-year-old from Noida, died by hanging at her home in Bhopal weeks after marrying advocate Samarth Sharma in December 2025. Her husband and mother-in-law were granted anticipatory bail by a local court, with reports saying police did not oppose the plea. Twisha’s family alleges sustained harassment, emotional abuse, and pressure to terminate a pregnancy, along with accusations of infidelity. They are seeking a second post-mortem at AIIMS Delhi and plan to challenge the bail in the High Court.
